Hold Me Tight by Dr. Sue Johnson
This is one of my favorite books to recommend for couples. Sue Johnson is the founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. She wrote this book as a way to speak to the couples directly. I always recommend the couples with whom I work read this book. 

Love Sense by Dr. Sue Johnson
An excellent way to learn about human nature and the basis of attachment in adult loving relationships. This book is a must if you’re wanting to better understand your emotions and actions (or maybe your partner’s). This book goes into the research in an interesting and digestible way.

Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski, Ph.D.
A funny and informative introduction to female sexuality and eroticism. Includes research based knowledge from an acclaimed sex educator that will help both women and men understand the female body and mind surrounding issues of sex and desire. This is a great book for any woman to improve her own sex life, or anyone who wants to have sex with a woman.

It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken by Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola-Behrendt
A tongue-in-cheek view of surviving a breakup. You will likely have a few eye rolls in there, hopefully due to the stories of people who dealt with breakups way worse than you! Provides good focus and suggestions in a time of upheaval and heartache.

Anxiety and Depressed Mood:

The Happiness Trap: How to Stop Struggling and Start Living: A Guide to ACT by Russ Harris
This text is great for those who struggle anxiety, depression, chronic pain. Really the uses are endless. We often try to control our environment or our inner selves in order to reduce discomfort and increase comfort. This text discusses the fallacy of that plan and explores ways to feel this emotions while remaining functional. Based on a research validated treatment called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, this is a book I frequently recommend.

Anxiety BC
Videos, worksheets, and information about anxiety. This website takes anxiety from a more cognitive-behavioral standpoint. Looking at ways you think about anxiety and ways you respond to your anxiety. There is also an app associated with this website called Mindshift that can be helpful to have on your phone in a pinch.
