Licensed Psychologist

Let’s be honest—
You’re not just here to check credentials (don’t worry, I’ve got them…scroll down if you like that kind of thing).

You’re here to figure out:
Can this person actually help us?
Will she get us?
And will we leave sessions feeling seen, not psychoanalyzed?

I get it. Choosing a therapist is personal and you have a lot invested in it. You want someone who’s not just trained, but battle-tested in the real-world messiness of relationships.

Someone who can hold your pain without flinching, name the patterns without shaming, and—yes—maybe even crack a joke when the tension in the room could slice through drywall.

Here's what I want you to know:

I don’t just talk about relationship transformation.
I’ve lived it.
I’ve been in the hard place—the place where the air feels thick with resentment, where it’s easier to go quiet than to say one more thing that might blow it all up.

Before my own relationship reckoning, I already loved working with couples. I was trained, I was passionate, I knew the science.

But going through it myself?

That lit a fire in me. I doubled down on learning everything I could about healing deep relational wounds, and I came out the other side with more compassion, sharper tools, and zero tolerance for cookie-cutter therapy.

As a fully certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist, I bring that depth—both professional and personal—into every session.

When you work with me, here’s what to expect:

  • Real talk. No jargon, no BS. Just honest, direct, compassionate conversation.

  • A safe space. We’ll go deep—but we’ll do it in a way that feels grounding, not overwhelming.

  • Laughter. Yep, even here. Because humor is a healing tool, and therapy doesn’t have to feel like emotional bootcamp.

  • Permission to be fully human. We’ll talk about the hard stuff: disconnection, communication breakdowns, infertility, sex, money, betrayal—nothing is off-limits.

This isn’t quick-fix therapy. It’s transformational work.
It’s vulnerable. It’s powerful. And yes—it’s absolutely worth it.

I’ve been working in the therapy field since 2008 and have been a licensed psychologist since 2014. Over the years, I’ve narrowed my focus to what I do best—and love most: helping couples repair connection, improve communication, and rebuild trust.

I’m a fully certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) for couples, a method grounded in attachment science that helps partners move out of stuck, painful cycles and into secure, connected relationships.

In addition to relationship work, I also specialize in supporting couples navigating infertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. These experiences can shake even the strongest foundations—and I provide a space where both the emotional toll and relational strain can be addressed with care.

I’ve worked with clients across the country and now offer therapy virtually throughout Washington state. I also provide continuing education and consultation for other therapists who want to build confidence and skill in working with couples.

I am licensed as Rachel C. Orleck Lozano, Psy.D. in Washington State (PY60450189).

Let's begin our work together!
